Morrisville My Hometown
Traveling up the Delaware Canal from Maple Street in Morrisville, the bridge on Trenton Avenue is ahead. To the right are restrooms for canal hikers.
Passing under the bridge, the canal comes up close to the Delaware River. From this point north the canal follows the river.
This picture was taken from Ferry Road, actually Lower Makefield, looking back toward Morrisville and the picture above, but several months later.
This picture was also taken at Ferry Road, but looking north, and again, several months later.
The same picture, but again, several months later
Looking back at Ferry Road.
Continuing up the canal into Lower Makefield, but still an easy hike from Morrisville.
Some backyards have green lawns extending down to the canal.
Next stop would be Black Rock Road, but we'll stop here. Taking a walk along the canal is a great way to get so fresh air. The hiking is easy, the scenery is great and you might see someone you know.
