In early April 2005 the Delaware River flooded over into the canal up stream from Morrisville. The water flowed down the canal into Morrisville overtaking the flood gate near Maple Avenue. The water then crossed Delmorr Avenue and flooded Williamson Park. This picture was taken by Don Kronnagel from his front porch on Delmorr Avenue.
This is a picture of Morrisville stock car legend Ray Neary. With the help of partner and team mate Fred Menschner, Ray won the modified class championship at Harmony Speedway in New York, in the early 1970s, at about the time this picture was taken. Thanks for the pictures Ray, sure bring back memories.
At the 2004 Labor Day picnic and car show at the "Island" Ray Neary stands in front of his reproductions of the number 39, driven by Al Tasnady. and owned by Dave Piscopo

Bald eagles in Morrisville? Well actually, Falls Township. This photo was taken by Hub Kelch down by Grows Land Fill. He said he sees them all the time when he's driving his truck at work. So he decided to take his camera with him and he got this picture of a bald eagle at the top of a tree. The picture was taken at some distance so we had to zoom in quite a bit, because of this it lost a little clarity, but no doubt, it's a bald eagle. I thought I'd seen bald eagles in that area before, was never really sure. Well I guess this confirms it.
A good place to look. for the eagles is the Falls Township park next to Pennsbury Manor. Thanks Hub

Two Morrisville legends
On the left is Jim Gafgen, sculptor of the statue of Robert Morris at the "Robert Morris Plaza" at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Bridge Street. Jim has been a Morrisville advocate as far back as the late 1950s when he helped the Morrisville High School football team kick butt across the entire area. On the right is Ray Neary crooner, guitar player and modified dirt track racing champion. Ray ran his dirt modified at all the area tracks in the 60s and 70s claiming track championship at Harmony Speedway in the early 70s.
This picture of the two Morrisville schoolmates was taken at Cedar Grove Raceway. To see pictures of Jim and Ray on the track Click Here.

I am sending a pic of my Dad, Blaze Mule'. He served Morrisville from 11/28/1967 to his death 2/9/1991. I remember the Trenton riots, and how my dad and his deputies manned the bridges, to keep Morrisville safe. He was the founder of the State Constables association,, and President for several years. He received many awards including Constable of the year in 1977, and has Citations from the Pa, . House of Representatives for serving our community, and the Commonwealth, a job he loved .
