This house in Bedminster Township is almost two hundred years old, and the home owner has some written information as to the history of the house. Old houses like this, give the owner, and any Bucks County resident a feeling of being connected to the past. This home has obviously been restored and the homeowners get great satisfaction in owning a piece of Bucks County History.
When the property was restored and the old fuel storage tank was removed, the owner retained the antique hand pump and placed it back in the ground as a reminder of days gone by. The water pump on the other is connected to water and does work.
We're sure there is a story behind the bell, we just don't know what it is. However it is old, it is an antique and it does add character the backyard.
Of course all old farmhouses should have a well.
A great Bucks County front porch
Entering the house through the kitchen entrance it is easy to see the thick stone walls and the open beam ceiling. This is Bucks County character.
Sheep and goats were also a part of American history.
Serenity of a long stone driveway
